Had a great experience at Downes, was constantly given updates on the work being done on my vehicle. Let me know which repairs were more important and what I could put off for a bit longer to keep the wallet happy. They give accurate quotes on future repairs as well. My car actually felt fixed when I got it back. These guys will not make you feel like a burden for needing repairs on your vehicle, which ive experienced with other shops in the past. I booked to have a part installed that had been recommended by another mechanic. Downes mechanic looked at it and said it wasn't needed and the part that broke was cosmetic only. He saved me $500 in labour and the cost of the part (the latter I was able to return to the wreckers and receive a full refund.). Thank you!

The mechanics at Downes are incredible. I received excellent customer service. All repairs were very well explained. BTW I had previously gone to the Mitsubishi dealership for the problem where they charged a lot for a diagnostic stating I needed a new muffler. Well that wasn’t the problem at all. It ended up being the front wheel bearing. Downes fixed the problem and more at a reasonable cost. I will continue to use Downes as my go-to mechanic. Thanks!

My car was making a terrible noise, suspected rear brakes. The mechanic I've used for years has shut down his business, a friend suggested Downes. I went in without a call in advance and they quickly assessed the situation and repaired my vehicle in time for an evening appointment. Amazing team, honest good people that know what they are doing and willing to take the time so you are aware and leave knowing all is well as well as having better understanding of what the problems are and what is needed. Don't upcharge or try selling on things not needed. Wouldn't go to or recommend anywhere else since my experience with Downes Automotive. If I could give more than 5 stars I would they are amazing.
